Faculty of Arts

Programme Title Programme Admissions Requirements
BA (Hons) in Liberal and Cultural Studies 1. An Associate Degree from any of the local/overseas recognised institutions; or
2. A Higher Diploma from any recognised institutions; or
3. Equivalent qualifications to be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
BA (Hons) in Music Studies 1. An Associate Degree in Music Studies or an equivalent qualification from any of the local/overseas recognised institutions; or
2. A Higher Diploma from any recognised institutions; and
3. Grade 8 ABRSM Practical (or its equivalent) and Grade 8 in ABRSM Theory (or its equivalent), and/or show other evidence of distinction in music.
4. Equivalent qualifications to be assessed on a case-by-case basis.


School of Business

Programme Title Programme Admissions Requirements
BCom (Hons) in Accountancy 1. Holders of Associate of Science in Professional Accountancy or Associate of Arts in Business of the University; or
2. Holders of Associate Degree/Higher Diploma in accountancy/business from other recognised tertiary institutions in Hong Kong; or
3. Other equivalent qualifications to be assessed on an individual basis.
BCom (Hons) in Human Resources Management 1. A relevant Associate Degree from any of the local/overseas recognised institutions; or
2. A relevant Higher Diploma from any recognised institutions; or
3. Equivalent qualifications to be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

BA (Hons) in Creative Writing for Film, Television and New Media 1. An Associate Degree from any of the local/overseas recognised institutions; or
2. A Higher Diploma from any recognised institutions; or
3. Equivalent qualifications to be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
BSocSc (Hons) in Integrated Communication Management 1. A relevant Associate Degree from any of the local/overseas recognised institutions; or
2. A relevant Higher Diploma from any recognised institutions.
3. Preference will be given to candidates with a score of 6 or above in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
4. Equivalent qualifications to be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
BSocSc (Hons) in Media and Social Communication 1. An Associate Degree in related disciplines from any of the local/overseas recognised institutions; or
2. A relevant Higher Diploma from any recognised institutions; or
3. Equivalent qualifications to be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

BSocSc (Hons) in Environment and Resources Management 1. An Associate Degree in Environmental Conservation Studies or related disciplines from any of the local/overseas recognised institutions; or
2. A relevant Higher Diploma from any recognised institutions; or
3. Equivalent qualifications to be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
BSocSc (Hons) in Psychology 1. An Associate Degree from any of the local/overseas recognised institutions; or
2. A Higher Diploma from any recognised institutions; or
3. Equivalent qualifications to be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
BSocSc (Hons) in Social Policy 1. An Associate Degree in Applied Social Service or related disciplines from any of the local/overseas recognised institutions; or
2. A relevant Higher Diploma from any recognised institutions; or
3. Equivalent qualifications to be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
BSocSc (Hons) in Sport and Recreation Leadership 1. An Associate Degree from any of the local/overseas recognised institutions;
2. A Higher Diploma from any recognised institutions; or
3. Equivalent qualifications to be assessed on a case-by-case basis.


School of Continuing Education

BEd (Hons) in Early Childhood Education 1. Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE)
  1. Level 3 or above in both Chinese Language and English Language; and
  2. Level 2 or above in Mathematics and Liberal Studies; and
  3. Level 3 or above in two elective subjects*;

Or

2. Other qualifications deemed acceptable by the School as equivalent to the General University Admission Requirements;

* At least one must be a Category A elective subject including Extended Part of Mathematics (Module 1 or Module 2). Category B subjects with "Attained with Distinction I" or above or Category C subjects with Grade E or above could be used to fulfil the second elective subject requirement.

BEd (Hons) in Early Childhood Education (part-time; senior year admission) 1. A Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Education from any of the local/overseas recognised institutions; and
2. C(ECE) qualification; and
3. In-service kindergarten teachers. 
Bachelor of Nursing (Hons) 1. Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE)
  1. Level 3 or above in both Chinese Language and English Language; and
  2. Level 2 or above in Mathematics and Liberal Studies; and
  3. Level 3 or above in two elective subjects*;
Or

2. Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) and Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE)
  1. HKALE
    Grade E or above obtained in any two sittings:
    - AS Use of English; and
    - AS Chinese Language and Culture; and
    - Either two AL subjects or one AL subject plus two AS subjects;
    And
  2. HKCEE
    Level 3/Grade D or above in English Language (Syllabus B) and Level 2/Grade E or above in at least five subjects^ including Chinese Language in a single sitting;

Or

3. Other qualifications deemed acceptable by the School as equivalent to the General University Admission Requirements;

Or

4. Applicants aged 25 or above with acceptable qualifications to justify admission.

* The first elective must be Category A subjects including Extended Part of Mathematics (Module 1 or Module 2).

The second elective can be any Category A subjects or Applied Learning Courses (either Health Care Practice or Foundation in Chinese Medicine) with "Attained with Distinction I" or above.

The preferred Category A subjects are Biology and Science: Combined Science.

^ The total grades of these five subjects are no less than 8 points.
